Advice for Building a Home

In over 40 years of developing and marketing property, I have found a universal problem exists for most people.  What type of home do I want?  Who is going to build this home for me?

Some people are interested in the “tiny homes”. Most counties have minimum restrictions of 800 sq. ft. so it is very difficult to find places that allow them.

Adair Homes – Rhododendron – 1291 sqft – 3 bedrooms – 2 baths

Some contractors are not reputable, charge a fortune for their work, and take forever to finish.  Watch the movie “Money Pit” with Tom Hanks and you’ll get an idea of what I’m talking about.

I’ve found that the best bang for the buck are Adair Homes.  I don’t have any stock in the company or work for them but their reputation is as good as anyone’s I’ve seen.

They have homes from 1,000 sq. ft. to over 3500 sq. ft. Their floor plans are about as good as I’ve seen for not wasting space. They are custom-built or “stick-built” homes that would be built on your lot.

Adair Homes – Whidbey – 1634 sqft – 3 bedrooms – 2 baths

Their secret is in the floor plans and not wasting space or materials. I have talked to several people, in central and southern Oregon, who live in Adair homes and they are all very happy. I am impressed at the “bang for the buck” you get.

I can also recommend a couple custom builders in the area with good reputations.  Contact me if you have any questions about our properties or what it would take to build your new home on one of our lots.
